Forbes Unveils 11 Highest-Paid Actors List

Forbes has released its annual list of the highest-paid actors, and this week’s chief tabloid subject, Tom Cruise, happens to be #1.

The Rock of Ages and Jack Reacher star, who celebrates his 50th birthday on Tuesday, earned a staggering $75 million between May 2011 and May 2012, according to the magazine.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Adam Sandler are tied for second place on the list with impressive $37 million 12-month earnings.

The Forbes rankings are based on estimates, so the Top 10 (11, actually) is not engraved in stone.

But it’s still an interesting snapshot of who Hollywood’s biggest earners are at the moment.

    Tom Cruise is a workaholic. When you see one of his movies you know he’s given it 100%. Spielberg is like that, you know you are going to see a good movie and get your money’s worth.

    To Pattinson it does not matter. He would rather make movies like Cosmopolis as he has said many times. BTW his performance as Packer was magnificent. Challenging oneself is sooo much better than lots of special effects, etc, but no substance. But yeah, they don’t make money:-). This is also why DiCaprio is second (because he makes some ambitious movies that don’t make much money too, and it ‘lowers’ his income) and Brad Pitt is not even there (since he said good-bye to shallow entertainment now that he can afford it). I’m surprised Depp is so low on the list – hasn’t he made loads of money on his movies for kids (Jack Sparrow – ugh! – his worst role ever!)?
