Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Other Stars Snag 2012 Guinness World Records

Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne and a slew of other celebrities have made it into the 2012 Guinness Book of World Records.

The Biebs lost to Gaga for “Most Twitter Followers” — she had 11,259,372 as of June 29 — but he took the title for ”Most Popular Video of Any Kind Online,” with “Baby” snagging 463,820,304 views as of Feb. 16, 2011.

Lil Wayne is in the book for “Most US Hot 100 Hits by a Rap Artist,” with 64 between 1999 and 2010.

J.K. Rowling recieved the title of “First Billionaire Author,” with her seven Harry Potter books selling more than 400 million copies worldwide.

Johnny Depp is listed as “Highest Paid Actor” ($75 million), and Sandra Bullock as “Highest Paid Actress” ($56 million), while “Two and a Half Men” star Angus T. Jones is the “Highest Paid Child Star,” earning $250,000 per episode.

    Good for Justin. A 17 year old who made a song called baby, reaching out to younger fans, people matching his age. But still older people take the time to hit the dislike button, because somehow it makes them feel Oh, so cool to ignore the fact that the boy is a child. And not only a child, a human child.
    If anything there should be a world record reaching out to all the people that think so little of themselves, that they prey on hating a kid, that doesn’t even need to worry about the haters, because he has fans to go around. It’s still sad though, that instead of just the easy way of ignoring him, there’s just people out there that just have no respect for others. Which tells a lot about their character, and a lot about his, since he’s still living his dream and making others come true, while millions just sit in front of youtube, trying to get the most thumbs up for their comment, and for a few weeks, that comment will be on top, and then no-one will ever know they exsisted. Oh, bummer. Meanwhile, Bieber continues to grow as a person, still doing music for “his” age, and there’s nothing that red bar on Baby can do about it.

    Even though Bieber doesn’t really speak to me, his music is a little too “young” for me, having younger siblings that looks up to him as a person in their teens, I think he’s a good role model, and he makes people happy. And I really think he deserves a spot in the history, where he will stay for a long time if he continues to stay grounded, and work towards his dreams. Good job Justin.
