‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2′ passed $1 billion at the worldwide box office on Sunday, a first for history’s most successful film franchise.

2001′s original, ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,’ came closest to the milestone, with a final tally of $974.8 million. Adjusted for inflation, it’s still the record-holder.

But Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint’s current hit is now racing up the all-time list.

Kings of Leon had to cancel their concert in Dallas on Friday because lead singer Caleb Followill told the audience – after performing 11 songs – that his voice was faltering due to the extreme heat. The band has rescheduled that concert for September 21.

According to magazine, the singer “uses the machine twice a week and faithfully records her thigh measurements to make sure she’s on target,” but if she’s off by even a quarter of an inch, she “flips out.” Really?

According to the British tab, Winehouse “had started the process of becoming a mum to 10-year-old Dannika Augustine,” who she met on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia two years ago. Really?

George Clinton’s “Unity in the Park” concert last night in Cleveland ended with a teenager dead, and three others wounded.

According to the police, after a fight broke out at the concert, a gunmen shot a 16-year-old boy in the head, a 20-year-old woman in the neck, and a 14-year-old boy and a 23-year-old man in their legs.

All four of the gunshot victims were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center.

The 16-year-old died from the shooting.
