The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards nominees were announced, and Katy Perry leads the pack with nine nominations, including “Video of the Year” and “Best Female Video.” Other multiple category nominees are Adele and Kanye West, who each received seven nods.

    You gotta wonder why they even bother with music awards any more.. For a cable channel, that was ‘BORN’ back in August 1, 1981, at 12:01 am with Video killed the radio star, MTV has killed the video with CRAPPY REALITY SHOWS! The fact that THEY brought us Pratt and Montag should be enough for them to go off the air. Anyhoo….. HOW MUCH MUSIC AND MUSIC VIDEOS DO THEY PLAY? You know, among Parental control. Pranks, 16 and Pregnant,the Hills and all the other HORRIDS I forgot to mention. I only remember back in the 80s, (yes, I am ancient) a game type show that i think was called ‘remote control’ and YES, it did deal with music.
