Kat Dennings, Beth Behrs Warned ‘2 Broke Girls’ At Risk Of Getting Canceled?
“2 Broke Girls” stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs were NOT warned by producers that the show is at risk of getting canceled, despite a made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told there’s “no truth” to it.
According to Star, CBS executives told the two actresses to cut back on their spending because the future of the comedy series is uncertain. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “They both live lives of luxury. Neither one has invested her money wisely, and if the show is axed their financial future is bleak.” The magazine’s dubious source adds, “Even if the girls start cutting back, it may be too little, too late. The ratings are in a tailspin.”
But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Behrs, who exclusively assures us that no such conversation ever took place, and there’s simply “no truth” to the outlet’s claim. Additionally, “2 Broke Girls” is among CBS’ most successful current sitcoms and has put up consistently solid ratings throughout its five seasons on the air. Further disproving the magazine’s baseless report is that the series has already been renewed for a sixth season, which is slated to premiere this October.
Gossip Cop corrected Star more than two years ago when it wrongly reported that “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” was being canceled. Obviously, the successful reality show is still on the air. We also recently busted the tabloid’s completely inaccurate claim that Stephen Colbert’s “Late Show” might get canceled. Clearly, the misinformed magazine needs better (or actual) network insiders.
